my daddy was from tn. a couple of his best friends growing up were farmer. daddy, as he told it, was working at an infirmary and would get off early in the morning...light and the dew still on the ground. he was stop by one or the other's farm on the way home and pick a handful of fresh dewy strawberries, get back in his car and continue on home. said they were the best strawberries you ever tasted.
